Opinions???? Long Distance Relationships

What are your thoughts on long-distance relationships? Are you in one ? Why or not? Positives? Negatives? Advice on how to keep a long-distance relationship? Most important factors that makes long distance relationships work?

I've been in one for a year and a half, and to be completely honest, I think it's 100% worth it. sometimes it isn't easy and the saddest part is def having to leave your boyfriend after spending time together in person ☹ but if it's the right person, every second of it will be worth it!! I wouldn't trade it for the world 😊

I'm in a LDR but the main thing about being is LDR is trust in each other and always communicate and keep in touch and do video chat to keep the relationship growing

I am currently in one and it's insanely hard but I think it's completely worth it because when you do see them it makes it so much more special and you have a different kind of connection with them than you do with anyone else I would suggest that you try to keep your relationship as normal as possible like don't force facetiming every night and texting all the time just continue as it is and I think that trust and communication is very important in any relationship but especially long distance I think it's worth a shot and if it doesn't work out then you both know that you at least tried hope I helped

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half and a year of it has been spent in a long distance relationship. The best parts are getting to see each other. We reunited about a month ago after a year and it is the best feeling in the world. But of course leaving him was the hard part. He lives in Alaska and I now live in Connecticut. I think it's totally worth it if he's the one!

I met my boyfriend on vacation in the Carribean. We immediately hit it off and we are still together. He lives in Chicago and I live in New York. I love him to pieces. If the people are right for eachother It works.

When my husband was in boot camp, then MCT and then school for the Marine corps- we spent nearly two years apart without seeing each other much. It's all about COMMUNICATION. We were only together for 6 months before he joined USMC, so we basically built our relationship off of letters, and phone calls when we could have them. Honestly, it makes for one hell of a strong relationship if you can make it through. Plus there's nothing in the world like "hello" kisses and sex 😊

I've been in a LDR since 2005. He moved to Mexico and I stayed in Kansas (I was in highschool at the time), it has its heartache but it is defiantly worth it. we are constantly in communication. I highly recommend the app called "couple" it's Soo lovely! That along with "viber" which is great for free out of country calls. For us, we have a schedule we keep.. An example being that we have dinner together every night via FaceTime. We watch movies and shows together and just catch each other up on our day. 
Communication, trust, and honesty is needed... And above all, Love. 
The thing that makes LDR work.. Is just wanting it badly enough. Every time I see my fiancé it's like we never said goodbye. He is my most favorite person and I'm his. You really have to be dedicated to each other. He's always here for me, even though I can't touch him.. You really learn a lot about each other since you have to make up for not being physically together. I find it a really beautiful and unique experience. 
Planning trips for the future is always good, so you aren't just stuck thinking you'll never be together again. And sending letters, postcards, and small parcels is always so so nice. The only real negative (besides the obvious of not being together) is money. I know most LDRs aren't countries apart, but you'll still need to save up. Traveling is expensive, but not impossible. 
Just like anything in life, "where there is a will, there is a way" ♡

I am in one. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years, and have been long distance for one year. It is insanely hard. 
You have no physical touch. You are hurting and need a hug? Sadly your bf/gf can't give you one. 
Patience and trust are key issues for a LDR. It's still very hard. 
I wish everyday he was here. And it's hard knowing he is meeting plenty of other women.
