It's just a bunch of insecure/overweight/old/pushy/bored mothers living through their kids. So sad. And don't get me started on the pixie sticks they give the kids to "give them energy for the day". SMH. One mom literally said she will put off buying a damn house as long as she can continue doing pageants. Really?? Don't understand it and never will.

The show is pretty entertaining but it's a bunch of crap. They say that "oh they don't force their kids into it." They might not "force" them. But, in a way, they are! It's all they know. It's what they're used to. It's what they think they're supposed to do because that's what their mothers are telling them. Really toddlers with fake teeth and spray tans? Those mothers should get their children taken from them.

As long as the kids aren't forced into it when they don't want to do it anymore, what's a bit of makeup going to do to anyone?

I think if the child is educated and disciplined and enjoying it then each to their own.

They aren't going to turn in to strippers because they wear "stripper" outfits. If you can call them that as I've seen young girls do dance competitions wearing less!

The show is gross. But child beauty pageants, if the child is having fun I don't see any problem with it. I would have LOVED to dress up in pretty dresses and get my hair done when I was a little girl, but it's unacceptable when parents take it too far.

I've seen kids crying and screaming because they do. Not. Want to be involved with this stuff. And yet their parents force it onto them, that's horrid. I honestly think it's awful. Many kids like dress ups, yeah, but this is just too serious for young children, this is just throwing all the good values and attitudes that their children's movies and books and all that teach them about the window. Kids shouldn't be taught to be vain, ridiculously competitive, proud of only a fake appearance. By all means let them do it when they're older. But the things you teach toddlers probably has the biggest influence on who they will be for the rest of their lives, so it's VITAL that you're teaching them the right things.. And I just don't think this is the right thing.

I've seen the show before. The only thing I hate is how undisciplined some of the kids are, and how some of the mothers actually put their toddlers on a diet. But that's the US for you lol.

I find it kind of disturbing. I mean, it's entertaining, don't get me wrong. But I have two young daughters and I think it's very sexualized, which is just creepy.
