Sore/stiff joints postpartum?

Hi ladies!

Since my daughter was born, I've been having stiffness in my fingers and wrists, and soreness when I bend my knees.  In the morning, I can't make a fist my fingers are so stiff and sore.  Anyone else experience this? My only guess is that it's from over-use due to holding a baby all day!

I have lupus and autoimmune issues tend to flare up postpartum because of all the hormones. I take medication - did all thru my pregnancy and still (the drugs I take thankfully are safe for baby/nursing) - and it's usually controlled but my joints were awful starting at 8-10 wks pp and have only just in the last wk or two gotten better (25wks pp now). My knees, hips, wrists, ankles, all ouch.

Just a friendly suggestion to consider mentioning pain like this to your dr - back pain aside, joint pain like knees, hips, hands/wrists, etc could be an autoimmune issue. Not necessarily anything to worry about at all, but not something to ignore either.

I've been having constant soreness in my feet. Like I could sleep at night and then stand up in the morning and have them hurt.

I get the wrist soreness too,  but I think the issue with that is because I broke it last year.

My knees though...man I feel like an old lady trying to get up from the floor!

My knee hurts constantly. I think it's partly residual from the pregnancy hormones  (relaxin loosens joints) and part from bending over while holding him and being hard on the joint angle. No fun

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I bend my left knee it is so stiff and hurts... My mom keeps saying that my baby girl must of been laying on a nerve. I also get numbness and pain in my hands as well.. Ughhh

Apparently inflammation of all types is common postpartum? I just started a gluten-free dairy-free sugar-free period 3 days ago (thinking to go a month and then try to slowly reintroduce foods) and I've already noticed my joints don't hurt like they did! I also was having serious fatigue and PPD which are totally gone, its amazing!
