So I live in Canada and have a 5 year old daughter. My ex and I didn't go through the courts and just mutually decided on $500 a month in child support. As she has gotten older things have gotten more expensive and she will be starting school this year. She also will be in dance which will cost a total of 600+ for the whole year. I have heard from many people that I should get more money and that he should have to pay for half of her extracurricular activities. I am thinking of asking him for more but I am curious as to other views. I know that the monthly amount depends on the others career situation and he does just fine for himself and his other family.
