Baby shower- out of state?

Has anyone been out of their home state but wanted to have a baby shower? I recently moved to Hawaii and it's too expensive for me to fly home during the next few months. Thoughts?

Maybe throw a small one for people you do know where you are just to get the experience. But make sure to have an online registry for people out of state.

Same for me. I recently moved to Alaska and won't be able to experience a baby shower.

I live in Idaho & had my baby shower way down in the south of Texas 36 hr drive there and 36 hrs to drive back(:  I was 8 months.

Mine is next week and will be out of state but it's a 6 hour drive there and wouldn't require me to fly.
