Not dilated!?

Question

Went to the doctor and I'm 39 and a few days. I asked her to sweep my membranes and she was all for it. Big problem, couldn't even reach in there far enough to do so. My cervix is still thick and I'm barely dilated. Any suggestions? Any positive stories!?

I've heard lots of walking, sex ( semen helps soften the cervix? I believe that's what I've heard haha), spicy foods

Dates!! Add them to smoothies. Pineapple date smoothies are a serious treat. At least 4 dates a day. It is a little late but in sure they will still help.
