When to choose baby's Doctor?

I'm 28 weeks and just now remembered that I need to find a doctor for my baby... stupid I know. 
My baby won't be under my insurance but under her grandmothers so I'm not sure how that works. When do I choose a doctor? How do I even begin? This process is so daunting to me

Sometimes the ob or midwives have a recommendation of drs. Maybe get a list and look them up. See if they are taking new patients. Technically won't be your babies dr until birth but you can at least have first second choice in drs

I didn't choose one til my boys were born and I chose the on call pediatrician that did their circumcisions. So I'll probably have that same dr for boy #3.

I'd advise you need a Dr with in the next few weeks you never know when delivery will be and its always good to have one on the books already . I would contact the insurance your family is with and find out who is covered in there network they should be able to give you a list of Dr's also try the hospital they can advise you who they deal with regularly and maybe who they would recommend.

My ob told me a lot of pediatricians do free meet and greets. She told me to meet as many as them as I want and discuss their views on everything and pick the one we are most comfortable with. She also said to pick one before baby is born because their first appointment will be around one month.
