Period Talk

When I got my first period, I was about 13 years old (possibly 14). For the longest time my period was irregular, every other month. I was never concerned about it because it still came and went every other month as usual.

It wasn't until my current boyfriend - after researching on Google for hours - that he suggested I may have only one ovary working.

Then, we, y'know, had sex and such, and now at 18 years old, I now have a regular period.

I'm curious if maybe when my boyfriend and I had sex that maybe it set the period cycle straight. Is it possible? Has anyone experienced this or know of someone who experienced it? Or maybe was my period just trying to figure out its own cycle?
