How long did it take you to get your license?

This is Australian, New South Wales other states are different with their lisences I got my learners that takes a year but I had a fair few medical conditions so it took me a little longer then I got my red p's was on them for a year and not I'm on my green p's I've been on them for a year and a few months and I still have just under a year left until i get my blacks which is your full lisence

Gotta add another Aussie here, in NSW at 16 you can go for your learners, a written general knowledge quiz (usually full of road rules, statistical Qs & road signs), you're on that for minimum 12 months and have to do a certain number of hours and different driving conditions. Then once a year is up (so 17) you can go for your red Ps, which is a practical driving test with a tester in the car with you. You're on those for 12 months, then at 18 you can go for your green Ps which is like a hazard test on a computer. You have them for 2 years. So at 20 you can go for your blacks which is your full licence which is a mix of the learners questions and the green Ps hazard test.

I got mine all first go & on my bday. So it took me 4 years technically to get my "full" licence, but that's standard.

I'm 17 and still don't have mine, my reason being I can't get it yet because I have seizures and epilepsy. Until I've gone a year without having one I can't get my license. It sucks but God has a reason for everything so I'm learning to accept it :)

We did not have a reliable car when I started driving school at 16 so I didn't get my license until 18 when my father finally bought a new car that I could do my driving test in.

I've been driving since I was 5 & come from a racing family, so driving is like a second nature to me. I waited like 8 months from getting my permit to getting my license because I live in a state that gets a LOT of snow and my mom just wanted to make sure that I was 100% okay to drive in the snow in all conditions. Passed the test on my first try.

From the time I got my permit to the time I got my license, it was about 4/5 months or so I think? I lagged a bit tho

I'm Australian so the rules are different but I passed my first test (written, practical and danger perception) all first go and got my hours up relatively quickly.
