I'm really confused as do how people say no? It's 100% correct. They look at the chromosomes.

They will always be accurate. Ive never read or heard of one not being correct. You either get the y chromosome or you do not.

It's between 99.3-99.7% accurate. I have heard of people being told they were high risk for turners syndrome (meaning girl fetus) but the baby ended up being boy. It is more accurate than an U/S though because it eliminates most of the human error.

If it is done at the correct time with a proper sample and thoroughly, it is correct. Those factors CAN change the outcome and give a false answer but by 10 weeks, if mom has Y chromosomes in her fetal cells, clearly it is a boy. If there are NO Y chromosomes by 10 weeks, then it is a girl. Regardless of what you may hear, it is more accurate than a scan.

Question...does insurance cover it or do you have to pay for it yourself? If it's out of pocket how much was it? My husband is deploying right before we find out the gender and I would love to get it done earlier if possible so we can decide on a name.
