Breakup

Ok so be and my boyfriend broke up after he moved across the country and he's the only guy I've had sex with but we did it for about a year. Now I'm sort of mad/hurt that he's the only one I've ever done that with because it constantly reminds me of him. Like should I just have sex with someone else like my close friend who made it clear that he wants to??
