For some of you FTM and others here's a little tip my kids pediatrician gave me before I brought my oldest daughter home. Have your SO take home the receiving blanket the baby was first wrapped in before they were given a bath. Do this before the baby comes home and give the blanket to the dog. It gets them used to the baby's smell so when you do finally come home with the baby your fur baby won't have a hard time adjusting and won't be all in the baby's face or in the way. I worried about my dog at the time who had been abused before we adopted her I didn't want her to have a hard time adjusting and the pediatrician I worked with at the hospital and knew that he raised and bred pit bulls so I talked to him about it and he told me to do that with her and I did when both of my daughters were born. Our dog took to each child right away even sleeping at the base of their crib. We are expecting #3 and unfortunately our fur baby passed away 3 years ago but we have a new fur baby who we rescued that was also abused so we will be doing the same thing with her before this baby comes home.

Any dogs I come in contact with do this to me.. My uncle his dog acted like this my other two pregnancies from the beginning to the end. The dog is protecting you and the baby

My dog isn't obsessed with my baby bump but he's gotten super jealous. If my youngest son sits with me then here comes the dog. He has oddly gotten to where he wants me to tote him around the house. I can't even go check the mailbox without him acting like I've been gone for hours when I come back inside. Lol.
