My SO quit drinking... if he hadn't i was ready to leave. 
I think it depends on the situation. I truly believe they have to want to change for themselves. You can't "make" them change.

Reality check - people only change for real and long term because they have decided to... not because someone else wanted them to do so.

He didn't necessarily cheat, but he was still communicating with his ex. We weren't together, we were building that. Oh. He also was eating the hell out of my vagina(virgin), so you damn right I nutted up! He cut her off quick & made me center of attention 💅💁👑

Long term relationships are hard. They take a lot of work and require lots of second and third chances sometimes depending on the situation.

As a lot of others said, the change has to be willing on their part. Nothing can be forced. If the relationship matters that much to them, they'll know what needs to be done to keep it. It definitely involves work & effort but it's possible. Whatever the "change" needs to be.
