How long should you wait before announcing a pregnancy to family and friends?

We'll wait for end of first trimester for general public and after first ultrasound for closest family!

I announced to immediate family (but not children) at 4 weeks only because we had a MC in June and family were so amazing for support but they were shocked that I was pregnant so we thought this time if the baby sticks then we can all carry on celebrating and if sadly it doesn't we have support again.

Our daughter we are not telling until we have had our 12 weeks can and same with neices/nephews because pregnancy loss is so hard to explain to little ones.

Friends we will tell probably a few weeks after our daughter xx
