Stopping BC mid-pack/ttc
Before I was introduced to the world of Ovulation/Tracking apps, my husband and I decided we would start ttc. We were about to go on vacation, and I decided to leave my BC at home. I had finished one week of the pack (the active pills), and haven't taken any since. I've been on BC for over 5 years so my periods have been very regular, every 28-29 days like clockwork. Prior to going on BC they seemed irregular, but to be honest I never really tracked them. Anyway, if they were "regular" like they had been on the pill, I should have gotten my period Aug. 9 (now 5 days late).
After doing some online searching, I realized I probably should have waited to finish the pack instead of stopping mid pill cycle to avoid a hormonal roller coaster. However, I've also read that many women who are on BC for a long time get pregnant right away after stopping (sometimes literally right away). Now I don't know when to expect AF, and I've had all sorts of wacky, hormonal symptoms. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests, both negative, but I have been dizzy and super tired, and have had major headache spells (that seem to go away after 20mins or so). My body is also very sore, especially my legs.
I'm curious if anyone else has stopped BC mid-pack, and if so, what happened after? I'm especially curious about those who were ttc who stopped mid pack and conceived shortly after. Thanks for your input!
