When when should I have my baby shower a month  be 4 or two months before

I'm due November 18th and having my baby shower on August 27th. Leaves us plenty of time to watch for stuff on sale that we will still need.

Traditionally it was 6 weeks before or after! I'm doing mine earlier because the last part of my pregnancy will be too hectic. I'm high risk so have to get testing in the City twice a week. It's gonna be brutal.
