Please answer

I'm currently pregnant with my first child, I turned 17 in June and my boyfriend (babies father) turns 23 in November. Our sons due in December and he wants to be there and be on the birth certificate, we even agreed on giving the baby his full name. But I'm scared he will go to jail for statutory rape.....we stay in NC and our families are very close and supportive of us. But I don't want him to miss out on his child's life because of our age difference. We have been together for a year now and he has helped and supported me so much. I love him to pieces :( please give me some advice and please no judgemental comments
