Doctors with a god complex?

Do you think surgeons/ doctors have a "God complex"?

Some do, some don't. My sister's CF doctor was the most down to earth, laid back person I'd ever met. But I've also meet some superior blow hards who clearly forgot to read the chapter on bedside manner.

Omg yes! I work at a hospital and I'll have the curtains closed and be in the middle of assessing someone, the Drs barge in and totally take over and do their thing, no apology or is it okay. They don't ever think maybe this person is disclosing something really personal or difficult or are at a breakthrough part of an assessment. 🙄 not all of them do this but a lot do. It's just totally rude and unprofessional

Some do. Some don't. I have an auto immune disease and recently I had a doctor ignore me and my condition and end up over dosing me on anti inflammatory meds for a nerve related pain and caused me to get ulcers that led to an infection within 48 hours that almost killed me. And none of the following doctors believed me. They said it was "herpies" which I tested negative for... Turned out that I had a staph infection from common everyday bacteria that is naturally found in your skin and in your mouth  and it was within hours of killing me because it was starting to spread into my bone and next to my brain because it was in my face. I then later went to a dermatologist to find out how to deal with my sun sensitivity better because I'm in college and well, can you imagine being a 20 year old female walking outside from class to class in college wearing sunblock under long sleeves and pants to cover up all your skin and then use an umbrella to further protect you when it is over 100 degrees F outside and the heat makes you feel like fainting because your blood pressure has a hard time regulating itself and your bp goes up when it's hot.. Because it has to...? Yeah well that's me and I have gotten a lot of attention from people.. Negative attention. Well this doctor told me he didn't believe my sun sensitivity didn't do any tests. Told me to get over the counter sun block and said that I shouldn't tell people that I have a disease like lupus because I "shouldn't want to have it" when it's on my medical record that I do. Hahahhahaha I can't believe doctors anymore. I've been to see so many of them and none of them can do anything to help and I've been ODd by one and almost died. But if I don't go, well I don't get treatment for my disease and I will die... Sorry for the rant.

As a nurse....some do. But mostly the surgeons and not as many as you would think overall.

Yes and no, probably not a god complexe but some may come off as arrogant but it could just be confidence, you figure if you cut into people for a living you have to be pretty confident lol

Oml yes! My therapist (I had really bad anxiety and depression back then) was on his high horse. Dumb fuck he was. Now, I have a new therapist! Nicest woman I ever met!! (I mainly have anxiety now)
