I made my step mom cry

So my step mom tends to be a cold person. Comes off as very judgemental. We didn't get along much growing up. Now that I'm older we have a healthy respect for each other. Due to the abusive nature of my relationship with my eldest sons father, I told no one I was pregnant. I told my parents 3 days after he was born. They drove up 300 miles immediately and bought him everything he needed and have been insanely supportive since. Now, in an amazing relationship with a wonderful man, I'm expecting my second son. My mom is taking her precious leave (she's a teacher 4 years from retirement. That leave can shave time off for her) to come out when baby is born and help me with my 18 month old and keep my sanity lol. Well I sent her this text and got no answer for about 20 minutes which is very unlike her. My dad texted me about then and said "your mother is in tears, you've literally made her year. Thank you."
