So I have a friend who's two year old son is getting stitches because a dog bit his face she said that she doesn't want the dog put down but just curious how many others would be as forgiving because I would be scared that that dog would bite someone else I would like to here your opinion good or bad

For me it would depend on why the dog attacked. I was appalled when a cousin put her dog down because her young daughter bothered the dog as it slept and it bit her out of confusion. 
I've had a cat attack my arm after I picked him up and he could smell the other male cats I had held minutes before. I viewed that as my fault and insisted so when questioned at the doctors office. I personally would hate to put an animal down.

Here's the thing I've noticed about families with dogs. A lot of parents don't teach their kids boundaries when it comes to pets. If the child is antagonizing the animals, constantly touching it's face, or is in its face too much, it's instinct is to bite. If the parents won't teach their kids boundaries then it's the humans fault. For example, my sister's dog was in a chair and he climbed on top of her and pretty much using her as a chair and she bit him. That's absolutely the humans fault. If the dog bit for no reason then it's a different situation but more often than not, I think the human is at fault

If the kid provoked the dog, I'm sorry to say, it was the kids fault. I would try to regime the dog to a loving home. If it did it unprovoked, I would try to find a trainer or something to explain why. I can't stand animals being put down, but I will have to out my kids first

Depends on the situation my son was bit by a family members golden retriever. The dog was the sweetest dog ever but needed a hip replacement, my son was 4 and leaned on the dogs hip to give her a kiss and was bit in the face. Not an aggressive dog at all just a bad situation

If my kid provoked it, and its not a mauling justa quick bite or nip then my kid deserved it. Because I will teach them better than to provoke an animal to its breaking point. But if your baby or kid is just laying or sitting there and my dog attacked for no reason. Id tske him out and shoot it myself. Rehoming if the kid provoked it is the best option. To a home with more respectful kids or adults.

Fully stand by first knowing why it bit kiddo. If it was do to provocation I don't see how that's any different from what we would do. (When a fly is buzzing in your face, do you not swat it away? Or a cat being annoying?) I don't believe young kids really know better, so I'd see it as an accident. If the dog was vicious already well, I don't believe a child would have been let near it in the first place. I kind of just believe if a young child is going to be around an animal that's the same size/bigger than them, they should be supervised for the first while so you can make sure all goes well and the kid doesn't pull its ears or tail.

When a person is attacked by another person, they go to jail or get some kind of punishment. "Domesticated animals" should get the same treatment. People value animal lives over human lives nowadays. But I value humans so that dog would be dead!!!

If an animal attacked my future child, yes I would put it down. You could argue that the child provoked the animal but if the animal was unpredictable enough to bite then you have no idea what it would do in the future. I love my animals but the safety of my children will always come first no matter what.
