How old is to old for a bottle ?

So my neice just turned 4 and is still having a bottle before bed , does that seem to old ? I mean a cup of milk ok but not laying down with an actual baby bottle ! Idk am I being silly ? I have told my sister she needs to stop the bottle but she says she is still her little baby so will keep giving it to her ?

I'm sorry but at 4 years old a child shouldn't have a bottle still or a pacifier. I had my son off the bottle just after his first birthday. Wasn't hard. Took all the bottles and threw them out and bought a few different kinds of sippy cups filled them with water put them where he could get them and let him pick his favorite. After an hour or two of realizing the bottle wasn't coming back he picked up a sippy and hasn't touched a bottle since he's now 2 1/2. He weaned himself off the pacifier at 6 months old. For some reason even tho it isn't my child I actually get really annoyed at kids that age having a bottle or pacifier still because it is NOT cute and it's actually bad for their teeth at that point.

I thinks that's way too old to still be having a bottle. My boys never went to bed and sleep with a bottle. When they were little they would have a last feed and then nothing but never let it in their bed. Once on solids there was no bottle again.

All kids are different.. But I quit giving mine a bottle around 10-11 months (when she started drinking milk instead of formula)

I personally think 4 is WAY to old.

I think it's different for each child. My daughter due to additional needs can't stomach solids so is on special milk and may never be able to have solids so she still has a bottle. We get all sorts of looks from random people which is not fair. Some children will only drink from a bottle and you cant deprive them of fluids. But at the end of the day it's her child and she may not take your advice. Four is a little old, I mean you could always suggest things like a cup but she may take offence. No one like being told how to parent or just leave it the bottle will hopefully stop at some point x

My nephew is 4. We all know he's too old for a bottle well what's actually left of it. It's basically a cup now. But he still drinks one at night before bed (sitting on the couch). He's always been a terrible eater so this is one way she knows he's getting some needed calories. In my opinion it just depends on the situation.

My nephew is 3, and I think he looks cute with a bottle, even though he's a big boy! I think your niece will grow out of it quickly. She probably just finds it a comforting thing for now.

I have five kids and not one of them had a bottle past 15 months. My child that had a bottle until 15 months, the only reason I didn't wean her at 12 months is because we were traveling internationally and I don't want to deal with LONG flights and a bottle weaning baby. She weaned as soon as we got back home
