Anxiety about in laws coming..

Don't get me wrong, I love my in laws very much. They live in San Francisco, and we live in Connecticut so we only see them about once a year and we always go out to visit them. My father in law has early on set Parkinson's, he's only 57. My mil is a very thin frail woman who is such a negative nancy. We've been talking to them about them coming out in October to meet their first grandchild, and having them stay with us. My husband and I currently live with my parents while trying to save up for a house and my parents have graciously offered to let my in laws stay with us and them for a week. My husband and I were talking to his mom last week and she made the offhand comment that while out here she'd leave us to take care of his dad while she rented a hotel room to get a break and get sleep. I understand it's hard to take care of someone and help them stand up and move and whatnot when he gets stuck and he's like twice her size but that Just didn't sit well with me or my husband at all. I'm sure she wasn't serious but still like wtf? This is supposed to be about me and my husband and our baby.
