Allergic Reaction?

My son woke up with red spots on his chest and around his eyes. Does this look like an allergic reaction? How much Benadryl can you give a 14 month old? I have a message out to the doc but haven't heard back yet.

Could be prickly heat (heat rash) Benadryl should help if it's itchy

To me that doesn't look like a reaction, but you can give benedryl just to safe. He ay have actually slept on his hand pressed to his eye and just gotten some slight discoloration that may go away as the da progresses.

Dosing goes by weight, not age. Under 21lbs give 3/4 teaspoon, over 21lbs you can give 1 teaspoon. How much does he weigh?

It's based by weight. You need to speak to the pediatrician.

Have you figured out what is causing this? My first born has reactions like this to some sunscreens. Have you tried something new?
