Extra fluid?

I'm 30 weeks and am measuring big already due to fibroids but now I had an ultrasound today and they are saying I have extra fluid, baby is measuring fine though. Anyone else experience this?

Yes; I'm 31 weeks and just found out yesterday I have extra fluid. They did a biophysical profile; they check baby's kidney size, breathing, for movements, etc on the ultrasound. They give a score based on results and go from there. Mine is very slightly over "normal" which is 5-25cm of fluid, mine is 26 and baby scored well on the profile. Their only suggestion at this point is to go for another ultrasound to measure fluid level in two weeks. It really depends on what is causing the extra fluid and how much fluid there is. It's called polyhydramnios from what I understand, if you'd like to look it up. Or do a search here for "extra fluid," there are many posts about it.
