Think For Them
PLEASE READ THIS if you're a young girl thinking about having babies.
Lately I've seen these young girls 14-16 having babies. God bless you if you think you're ready for the greatest step of your life. There are so many great moms who are young, but they've struggled at times.
My friend was 15 when she had her son. Her immature boyfriend left after Issac was born and moved onto another girl. Issac had weak bones and under developed lungs that caused him to have severe asthma. My friend didn't have help from her own mom, because she didn't want anything to do with her own grandson. So whatever money she could make from baby sitting her own son and 3-4 other kids went to food, diapers, doctor visits, medicine, and the emergency room. I often tried to help and buy food and clothes for her son. Issac had 6 surgeries on his lungs to help them improve by the age of 1.
When she was 17 she was raped by a neighbor and became pregnant. She doesn't believe in abortion and was going to put the baby up for adoption. She had her daughter Hope in December 25. Hope was six weeks early and is deaf. She's a small girl, but she's so full of life now. It was love at first sight and my friend kept her.
My friend is now 22, her son Issac is on honor rolls in his school and is 7 years old. Her daughter may be deaf but loves gymnastics. Hope is 5 years old.
Though she loves her children, she has struggled to get to this point. There's still a long road ahead for her, but I know she can do it.
I wanted to share her story with young girls because its not about just dressing your baby up and kissing them. There are some messy days and rock bottom days.
Love your children and always think about what's to come for them. I wish I could share the joys of little ones, but I can still share knowledge to help others.
