Does anyone get this?

Does anyone on here get chronic migraines to the point where you feel hopeless and barely functional? If so what do you do to help them go away?

I had chronic daily migraines for 4 years. I went to a chiropractor and had 12 adjustments. Haven't had one since, it's been 6 wonderful migraine free years.

I do Hun really bad if I have migraine attack I have injection now cause nothing touches it I find a really cold cloth helps and try and sleep it off sunglasses can help to I really truly understand what ur going through I have cut out caffeine all together which has helped a lot drink plenty of water to Hun hope this helps a little Hun

I do, and it is incredibly frustrating and debilitating. 😞 I have to schedule my entire life around it. I am in moderate pain every single day, and then about every 7 days, sometimes fewer, it spikes to severe pain. I am currently planning my wedding, and literally anything I have done-- trying on dresses, tasting cupcakes, making invites-- has ended with me in horrible pain. I cannot work full time, I cannot do so many things. 
I have changed my diet, taken supplements, done acupuncture, taken preventatives (which have made it worse), and so much more. And it sucks. The only thing that I have found to really helps is my Cefaly device. At one point, I was able to go 40 days without taking my prescription pain killers, and that was mind-blowing. But the trouble is, it loses its effectiveness after a month or two (at most), and then I have to stop for a while. 
After I get on my new insurance, I am planning to look into some new treatments. I am interested in Botox, seeing a chiropractor, and neurofeedback, as well as doing more testing (though no one has found any underlying conditions yet).
This is all just to say, I know your pain (literally). 😔 It helps to know you're not the only one who suffers. Here's hoping we will both be on our way to wellness sooner than later. 💗

My mom use to get them so bad. It was devastating. She tried everything and finally talked to a Dr. that talked about managing your migraine threshold? Anyways, the idea is that a mix of stress, food and a few other things can cause migraines if they get above a threshold. So she eliminated the suggested foods which were things like msg, citrus, bread that's newer than a day old, and a couple other things. She has improved so much. On days where her stress is low, she can cheat a little on the diet, when her stress is high she adheres tightly to it to keep the overall threshold down. It's been a few years now and it's made a world of difference. I know different things work for different people,  but might be worth looking into.

Yes! I don't have them as bad as I used to but I found a lot of what I think affected me was my diet. I would honor like crazy and just lay Ina dark room forever. People sometimes would say oh she just has a headache and have no idea how bad it was. The only thing that works for me is Advil migraine 😉

Ppl who say it's just a headache have never had a migraine it angers me when they say that if they suffer from them they will never say that again
