Am I ready?

I have been with my boyfriend for 6 months now. He is my first boyfriend, but I am not his first girlfriend. I know that he has had sex with a few of his previous girlfriends, but I have always wanted to wait until I was married. He knows this and he has been very respectful of this. However, I have had many dreams of us having it. Is this my body's way of telling me that I am ready? I do have the desire to have it, but I am just not ready for that level of intimacy. Please help.
