Would you fly 9hrs with 18mo old?

My in-laws want to do a family trip to Hawaii, but the problem is I'd have an 18 month old! Has anyone flown this far with a toddler? If so was it worth it? Tips?

Not with an 18 month old. My family did a trip to Hawaii with a 3 month old, 5 month old, 3 year old, 5 year old, and 7 year old. They did really well! If you can afford it definitely get their own seat (although that is pretty expensive so makes sense if you can't.) My sister is the travel queen and she just loads up the carry on with stuff they haven't seen before like little new toys, stickers, glow sticks, etc plus 1 billion snacks. Also tablet if you have one, it is not the time to enforce no screens til 2 ;) good luck!

I've done it with my nieces. We took night flights and they slept the whole time.
