Lost my ring

Omg!! I can't believe it. I'm so hurt right now. I wrapped it in paper towel and placed it in one of those cosmetic bags. I must have thrown it out when I was cleaning the bag without realizing. I'm so heart broken over it. I've heard stories where couples have lost their engagement rings and years later it resurfaces. God I hope that's the case for me,but I know it might be impossible seeing how it's long gone in the trash and I doubt even if I called the waste management company, that they'll be able to assist me. Looking for it there would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I'm gonna keep the faith tho but God it hurts. Has anyone else gone through this? What was your outcome?
