Pineapple when pregnant?

Are you allowed pineapple when you're pregnant? I've never heard of this on entire but I was sitting at work this morning eating so melon and pineapple and a co-worker said to me I shouldn't eat pineapple as it causes miscarriage? That straight away worried me as I had a miscarriage in April, I'm currently 14 weeks.

Yes I've heard this too and did some research and she's right. There are certain fruits we should stay away from during the first and second trimesters. Pineapples are great for the last couple weeks of pregnancy! 🍍🍍🍍

I ate pineapple during my pregnancy and had a beautiful healthy LO. :)
My hubby would make me fresh pineapple shakes, and one time he cut and entire pineapple into slices for me to snack on throughout the day at work... I sure did snack on it until my tongue felt tingly due to too much pineapple!

I have eaten pineapple often. I crave it. They say if u eat the center about 6 to 8 of them that it can help start labor. But that's it.

Honestly, the risks are negligible. There's no real evidence that it can do any harm at all. You'd have to eat like 6 whole pineapples for it to do any harm.

There are lots of foods you're supposed to avoid during pregnancy. I'd say eating it 1 time will be alright, but it helps thin your cervix.

You have to eat a LOT for it to start labor. I'm talking like multiple whole pineapples or multiple gallons of pineapple juice. It's a natural way to thin the cervix to start labor, but having some slices here and there won't hurt. Like everything else, moderation is fine.
