What is everyone bringing baby home in??

This feels like a silly question, but my daughter was born in the winter with snow on the ground, so it was obvious how to dress her at 2 days old... What is everyone bringing their August babies home from the hospital in?? It's 95 degrees here, and in the past week, heat index of over 100! Yikes! Do I still need to cover arms and legs?? Or is something light with a light blankie good??  I'm also so skeptical in buying newborn sizes... I have a feeling he's going to be over 8 lbs,,,
