Our Pedi tested our babies poop and said they found blood which is indicative of a food allergy. She said that she's probably allergic to cows milk protein OR soy and for us to go on Alimentum. She also said I need to start a dairy free diet if I want to continue to provide breast milk. Has anyone been through this before? Our pedi also said she can't know what she's specifically allergic to until she's 9 months old. I'm a FTM so I'm learning as I go but why can't she determine the specific allergy now? Do we trust her or seek a second opinion?
