Night light or not?

Question

Me and my mum believe a baby should have a night light but my husband wants her to sleep in darkness. I slept with a night light and I can sleep in any light whereas my husband slept in darkness as a child and can't even handle the little LCD light on appliances like the TV and air-con.

What are you doing for your babies?

Baby sleeps in our room so we don't use a nightlight. There's a little light from the window coming from a streetlight

I like to use lights/toys that have timers... that way when she is put down for bed she isn't freaked out by the sudden change, and she is usually out by the time they turn off. And will stay asleep till early in the morning (usually) but if lights are on or the blinds aren't closed all the way she seems to wake up in the middle of the night

I used to use one but my baby would wake up so I decided to try without and it works perfectly and wakes up till 7:30 now.

I was using a night light, but right around 4 months my son started waking up in the early morning 3-5am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I started making the room as dark as possible in hopes of keeping him sleepy til dawn at least

My lb sleeps in darkness but when he naps (rarely) he sleeps were it's light x

i use a nightlight. it makes it easier for me to check in on him at night and to feed him through out the night whenever he wakes up.
