Abortion experiences

I'm not necessarily asking for anyone's opinions, I'm just asking for experiences: yours or people you know. I'm not pregnant and I grew up in a anti abortion home as my mother once had an abortion and regretted it all her life. I grew up with my family telling me that at any age (even if I was just a little teen) if I ever got pregnant NEVER to abort because I'd regret it. I'm wondering: is this true for everyone? What was your experience? Thank you and I'm sorry for asking a sensitive question: perhaps it will help many other people make a choice if it happens.
