We decided to induce on my due date. We got to the hospital at 8. Filled out the paperwork, drew blood, got an iv, and answered all their questions. At 9:20 the Dr came in checked me, broke my water, and attached the fetal monitor to his head. He said I was 1cm dilated, 70percent effaced, and -2 station. I had one round of pain medicine. Not too long after I felt the need to push so they checked me. I had jumped from a 5 to a 9 in less than an hour. I only pushed for about 10-15 minutes. He arrived at 3:27 and he weighs 9lbs 4oz and is 21 1/4 inches long.
