Why so much pain?

I always have some pain in my breasts when I'm about to start my period, but the pain usually starts about five days before. I've had horrible pain, where I can't even touch them without them hurting, for about a week now and I still have nine days until I should actually start. They are so sore and tender and I'm not quite sure if it's normal I guess? Help please!!
