My partner and I are having disagreement on if holding a baby can spoil them or not. Or is there a such thing as holding a baby too much. My daughter is 7 weeks old. If she cries I usually respond to her and pick her up. I make sure she has clean diaper, not sick and well fed. Them I put her down in a rocker or try to let her sleep. Sometimes she stays in the rocker calm sometimes she still cry. So I go pick her up and comfort her. Sometimes she stops crying but sometimes she still cry. She also can't sleep unless someone is holding her. When we put her in her crib she wakes up and cry and wanting to be held again. My partner thinks we should let her cry it out and fall asleep after she is tired of crying. She is used to be held because I held her too much. Help what do I do. I am first time mom. We are so tired and confused.
