"Visits"?

In case you haven't got a background update yet, there's now a "visits" number next to everyones name. Who else thinks this is pointless? Is there some point to this I'm missing?

Yeah, I don't  get it either .  I got an alert about a week or so ago saying I've had over 1,000 views to my profile .   To me, that means I've just pissed off a lot of people  and they are trying  to check out my profile ,  lol!
