Perfect Age to Get Married?

Hey guys, so what do you think is the perfect age to get married? Also, do you think people look down on others because they are young and decide to get engaged? I have a friend who's boyfriend is going to be deployed soon and he proposed, although they have been dating since January. Do you think this is okay, or frowned upon?

Well, she's in a military relationship. Getting married young in a military relationship is super normal. I'm engaged to a Marine and I'm 19. My sorority sisters are 19-21 and already married to their military husbands. The reason my boyfriend and I are getting married is well 1.) we are in love and 2.) I never know if he is coming home to me or if someone will show up at my door and tell me horrible news. I could be a widow at a young age while other people not in military relationships are getting married around 25-30, so people can judge all they want but us military women have tons of stress and worry about our men coming home safely. I wouldn't worry if it's okay for your friend to get married at her age since it's her engagement and her marriage. Just be happy for her and support her cause there are people who will judge her. There is no right or wrong age to get engaged or married as long as both parties are mature willing and ready my husband and i have been together since we were 18 and married at 21 if we do get looks or stares for being young we dont pay them any mind i also gave birth to our son at 20 and will be 24 when our daughter gets here

I think it's perfectly fine. Just because they're engaged doesn't mean they're going to get married right away. My best friend just got engaged with her boyfriend, and they are both 17, but they are going to wait a while until they get married. I don't know why people in this society frown upon a lot of things, but I think it's perfectly fine. I mean, weren't we getting married at the ages of 12-14 and already bearing children at one point in time?

I don't really think there's a perfect age? My friends parents got married within 3 weeks of just meeting each other, and another one of my friends parents got married 10 days in their relationship (they only knew each other for a couple weeks before they dated). And I have also known people who have married at 16 and are still together in their late 20's!

You've been with him less than a year which is a really short time which concerns me, but there isn't really a "perfect" age. I know my grandma got married at 23 and it has been going 56 years. My friend's mom is 45 and she's on her 5th divorce.
