Does marijuana affect the chances of a BFP??

Question

I've been hearing this myth about marijuana affecting fertility in humans, but I've also seen so many women who indulge recreationally and have more than one child!! I'm very confused on the matter! My hubby and I are TTC for baby #1, we are very healthy, my cycle is very predictable since I was 10, and we just did the BD for my entire fertile week! Are my chances slim to none if I have indulged recreationally too??

I'm sure it differs for every woman but I was smoking when baby was conceived and when I found out I was pregnant.  I stopped of course once I found out but smoked before I took a test.

No girl.. My bf & I smoked multiple times everyday & I conceived just fine after the depo was gone from my system.. But at the same time we were at the gym everyday, going to school, & working. Don't let weed make you lazy.

I don't know if there are actual scientific studies on this subject yet. You will likely just get everyone's stories/personal opinions instead of facts.

Shouldn't matter whether or not you smoke, but it does lower sperm count in men, especially if he's been frequently smoking for many years. If you have been TTC for a while with no luck, I would recommend him doing a little T break for a couple of months to try to raise his sperm count, as that could be the problem.

So funny story. I swear weed got me pregnant 😂😂😂 i used to smoke back in high school. Started my senior year. All the time. And my first 2 years of college. Then I got bored being high all the time I only smoked occasionally. Once every 6 months or so. Then I got with my bf (who I used to smoke with way back when 4 years prior to us being a couple) and he couldn't smoke anymore due to often random drug tests at work. So for a 13 months I didn't smoke. No biggie to me. Then one day he talked me into just smoking once with him. He said ot would be a little throw back to when we were younger. Sure enough that was the day I conceived or right around there. I was on the pill and took it religiously too. Currently 11w3d

It may slow down sperm if he smokes but it doesn't stop anything from happening. We were trying for months and I quit smoking a month before we started trying and finally gave in and started again and that was the month we got a BFP. My husband doesn't smike though and we were working on being healthier and I think that helped. But it kept me relaxed when instead of stressing out all the time and having anxiety attacks. I stopped about a week before my BFP.
