Is this normal?

I've been on birth control pills for almost 2 years now and I usually start my period on the 3rd day of the green pill or more towards the end. For some reason I don't know I started my period 3 days before I even started the green pills, I still haven't started the green pills. It's never done this before. Is this normal or happen to anyone else?

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to figure out possible causes for your irregular period. Have you been taking your pills at the same time? Have you missed any pills? Have you had sex?  Did you use a condom? Have you started a new workout routine? New diet? Weight loss or weight gain? More stress than usual? I always recommend starting with a pregnancy test (because you can't test for most of the other causes). If you're not pregnant it could be one of the other reasons listed or sometimes periods change after you've been on birth control for a while. I was on the patch for 15 years and I stayed with a 8-10 day period with heavy bleeding to a 5 day period with very light bleeding. I got off of birth control two months ago and I'm now down to a three day period

Is this normal?
