So a state over apparently a guy booby trapped his house as a means of real home security that he couldn't afford -like millions of other people because he lived in a bad neighborhood. He set up a shot gun to shot someone in the legs if they opened his bedroom door where he kept everything important locked up.

He left to go to work one day and a burglar comes in and ends up blowing out his knee after he picks the bedroom door open. Burglar calls 911 and is hospitalized.

So the court favored the burglar and made the home owner pay the thiefs medical bills and fined him.
