Period on quick starting pill

My period was late over 3 weeks. I have irregular period sometimes. So I decided to get back on the pill and quick started it. After taking the pill for about 12 days I started bleeding. Was so weird and have been bleading heavy for 5 days still. Not sure if this is a period of vaginal bleeding. Also I had unprotected sex the whole time I restarted the pills. I forgot that I need a back up method in the first 7 days.

So I am not sure I could even end up getting pregnant ?

Has anyone experienced something like this before ?
