Okay.. So I have had my mirena for four years now.. (Two months after the birth of my beautiful daughter) and have never had an issue. It is due to be taken out in December. I've had friends who have had problems with it and friends who haven't.. Like me. While in the shower, I was doing my monthly check and couldn't feel the strings.. This has never happened to me. I have always been able to feel something, even if it was just the tip of one of the strings. I'm going to call my obgyn in the morning and try to get an appointment, but am freaking out because I leave for Mexico September 1st for my honeymoon. (I had my daughter very young and have never been anywhere without her.) I'm just full of anxiety right now, because as much as I would LOVE to have a baby in the near future.. The Zika virus in Mexico is crazy. Even if I wasn't pregnant and the mirena just got lodged in me.. That still is awful.. I'm sure I'm just overreacting and shouldn't assume before I have gone to see a doctor, but with reading so many reports about this online in the past.. It's hard not to worry. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what happened.. PLEASE HELP.
