Hymen irritated?

I have been sexually active for 4 years, so my hymen was broken quite a while ago. But today after my bf and I had sex my hymen became very swollen and looked to be filled with blood but I wasn't bleeding. He said he's never noticed it before and it's concerning me. Is this normal?

Your hymen doesn't just break once. And it doesn't nessacarily happen the first time you have sex. Anytime you have sex you can tear your hymen if you are not careful or it is rough. It's not just something that happens once and then it's gone forever. You might get a tear in it but it will heal and you can keep tearing it over and over again .
