Irregular cycles, tested randomly

My cycles are irregular so I'm not sure when af will come. I've been experiencing a sore throat, exhaustion, sore breasts, a headache, and I've been more emotional than usual. Ovulation was likely the 9th or 10th this month. First time using this type of test. Didn't say on the packaging how long to dip it in for, so I winged it. Any insight is welcomed. Ttc baby number one for twenty months.
