Hugging boys and relationships

So me and this boy have been talking for a while and I really like him and we have a lot in common. I can tell he likes me and he always hangs out with me at break times in school. He has previously tried hugging me but then he pulls back and shakes it off, so I act like I don't notice it. He always brings up that he needs a hug from me and talks about hugging with us but it hasn't happened. I'm really nervous because he said he would hug me tomorrow but I don't really know how to hug him or for how long and I'm really worried cause I like him a lot. Please help
