My BF & I are ttc & although it hasn't happened yet, we have discussed names sometimes just for fun. His middle name is Robert, after his dad. His cousins middle name is Robert & so is his Nephew's. I told him that for a boy, I wanted the middle name to be Chad, after my dad. My dad has no grand childeren yet, and only one son, so I think it would be special to have his first grand baby (assuming it's a boy )named after him! ❤️ but my BF would want to name him after his dad (like I said, he has 3 people named after him already). My BF has said some really hurtful things about it! He says Chad is a douchey name and he would never allow it. But the baby would already have his last name, and he could choose the first name (within reason) so I thought it was reasonable that I get the middle name (after all, he would be half-me as well... And I'd be the one carrying him around for nine months). Has anyone else had this problem with their SO? How did you compromise? 😕 ((i know that it's soon to be picking out names, but if he's that rude & stubborn about names now, it just makes me wonder how he will act when there's actually a baby in my tummy 🤔))
