4 days after surgery. I can't get in the house without going up stairs. Or to my bedroom. Didn't have a choice.

Same here, my house has stairs so day 3. I was also driving within a few days of the hospital as I stopped taking the narcotics ( they were making me super drowsy and I was falling asleep trying to care for my baby and 2 year old). If you drive, make sure you're no longer taking any narcotics. But every person is diff, so listen to your body and don't strain yourself.😀

As soon as I was out of the hospital, so 3 days. I definitely took it easy but my house has stairs and I still had to get stuff done, prescriptions filled.

Had to wait for the catheter to be taken out to walk around the hospital that was about day 3. I had to have a blood transfusion after my emergency C section. My bedroom is on the second floor of our house so I didn't have much of a choice but I didn't overdue it. I took the pain meds as instructed. I didn't go out to the stores until about week 3 because I had complications with my incision. I'm now 5 weeks PP and feel a million times better but still get pains every now and then. Dont try to be a hero, take care of yourself and don't feel guilty if you need to take the meds and slow down. You just had major surgery. I have to remind myself sometimes.

We didn't have stairs but I was up and walking around in stores and outside by day 3. For me it felt worse to be laying down or sitting then having to stand up to go grab something or use the bathroom, much worse than just walking around for lengthy periods of time. I still have some pain but it was about a week and some change that I noticed I wasn't in excruciating pain anymore. I am currently 16 days PP.

Right away. I walked up and down the stairs once a day and would walk up the street and back. Really helps with recovery to keep moving!!

I decided not to even go get the prescription pain meds when i got home. The firdt 2 days were hard and i cried alot from pain, just took tylenol and went on down the road. I was out and about pretty quick though. I have a family to take care of and i have a hard time letting others do for me. Gettinf in and out of bed was the worst part, got easier after i had the staples removed, but still hard because our bed is so tall. I felt better within in a week PP. My mom keeps saying how impressed she is at how much im doing. I mean a csection is no minor thing.

As soon as I went home I had to go grocery shopping and I live on the third floor of an apt.
