How did your labor start?

I'm 39 weeks and curious to hear from all of you who have delivered! I'm a FTM and curious to hear all the different stories!

I am still waiting for my this one but last one was my 1st and over due so I had membrane swipe and then I had 4days of horrible contraction but not dialated at all how ever I managed then went to hospital 3cm dialated , midwife broke my water @2am then forced me to have epidural which help me to sleep and rest 
Next morning midwife woke me up to push I asked for 'Fan On' she said no then I said no to push 😜 took me for c-section but as soon I was in OT it was I felt cold then I pushed baby out I got girl who is 5yrs old now.

i went for my 38 week check up only to find out i was having 4 minute apart contractions that i didn't feel at all. 
i was sent to emergency c-section because my baby was breech.

I went into the hospital to check if my water broke. I lost my mucus plug the night before and had a gush of fluids come with it. Turns out my water did not break (so i guess i peed with no control over it lol), but they kept me and induced me due to the high blood pressure i had been having and the urinalysis came back with protein in it meaning i had developed preeclampsia. They generally induce at 37 weeks for that condition, but i was already 38 weeks so they kept me and i had her at 10:20 that evening.

I woke up to go to the restroom and was having some cramping but didn't pay much attention to it, went to Kat back down and felt 2 large gushes of fluid and when i stood up a mess went every where, this was 4 am. I took a shower and headed in to the hospital when I arrived my contractions were 2 minutes apart but for some reason completely stalled by 6, pitocin was started and I labored hard until 2:30 am when I finally got the epidural. After 31 hours of labor I was taken for an emergency c section bc I spiked a fever and my daughters Herat rate was dropping.

I woke up at 11:30 PM with mild cramping. It progressively got worse over the course of 2 hours and the pains were timing about 3 minutes apart and lasting between 45 and 60 seconds. I called L&D and they said to come in. I was only dilated to 2 CM so we walked for an hour and a half to try and get things moving. Still dilated to 2 CM at that point, so I asked to go home since I really wanted my breakfast. Got home around 5:30, ate my cereal, labored in the shower for an hour, then walked around my house for another hour and a half with the contractions getting progressively more intense. By the time 8:30 came around, my husband insisted that we go back to the hospital. Got to the hospital around 9 AM and was dilated to 5 CM.

You will definitely know when you're having contractions. They are more painful than anything I've ever felt before. I couldn't talk through them at their worst, and I couldn't get comfortable in any position. The epidural was amazing and I don't think I would have had energy to push had I not gotten it. I was able to nap from 5 CM to 10 CM, which was amazing. :)

I was induced due to low fluids the day I turned 40 weeks . Right on time!

I did some nipple stimulation at 41 weeks and started getting period like cramps. That lasted a whole day constant cramping and then every 7-10 min intense cramping.  I couldn't tell if it was labor or not and since they were so far apart I didn't want to go to the hospital. Finally after almost a full 24 hours of this I couldn't take it. I had like a two minute one and just decided to go. I was 4 cm when they checked with a bulging sac so they let me stay 4 hours later my water broke. I didn't reach 10 cm until 15 hours after that.
